What do we have to do?
You are challenged to design and build a bridge that is totally made of spaghetti and glue. The bridge must span 350mm and be 50mm wide so cars can travel across the bridge. The bridge must be sturdy and able to support loads that will be attached to the bridge from a central point.
We are going to test these bridges on a number of aspects such as research, design, manufacture and strength. To do this you are going to have to work in groups to get all of these stages done in the allocated time. To test how strong your bridge is we will be applying weights to your bridge until it breaks.
Finally your team is going to have to present your findings to a class so we can all learn from each other.
The more research and planning you put into your project the better it will be. So make a plan, everyone take a job and start researching.
