We will be making the bridges in the woodwork room so we will have lots of tools at our disposal. There are going to be a broad range of tools used so safety is really important. You must provide the teacher with a list of all tools you are going to use and the safety considerations you must adhere to. You must also include at least one youtube video for one tool. Here is an example for using a knife.

What tools will I use?

There are many different ways in which you can stick your pasta together. It is your job to research differnt methods and find a safety video to acompany your chosen method. Here is an example for using a glue gun.

How will we get it done in two classes?

You are going to have to really work hard to get this project finished on time. With that in mind make sure you come to class with your full size drawing done. Also divide all the jobs up between each member and make sure every member knows what they are doing before they come to class.

We will be applying weights to the bridge. You are going to have to come up with the best method of applying the weights and then come up with a safety plan to accompany your method. I need to see websites you used in your research on how to apply the weights safely.

So we have tested our bridge. Are we finished?

Last thing is you have to present your findings to the class. You can use PowerPoint or Prezi or any other way you like. You can elect one person to talk or the whole group can present. Your presentation must last 3 minuites and show how you researched, what you designed and what you learned.
