INTRODUCTION
One of the most challenging jobs for engineers and architects is to design bridges that are strong enough to carry loads yet they must be pleasing to the eye.
When designing a bridge, engineers and architects have to take on board a range of requirements such as the span and the weight the bridge will have to hold. Depending on these requirements, engineers and architects decide on the type of bridge they wish to build.
